Description

Ship Class: Battlecruiser
T1 Name: Strix (heavy electronics platform)
Fitting: 8 High, 6-7 Medium, 5-6 Low.
Bonuses for scanner strength, electronic warfare effectiveness, tank.
Price Range: 40-50M ISK

Rationale: Battlecruisers are among the most popular ships in New Eden, and yet also have the fewest available hulls. Secondly, there exists no electronics platform for Battlecruisers to match Battleships (such as the Scorpion) or Cruisers (such as the Falcon). Consequently, this ship is intended to serve as a heavy electronics platform, able to sustain considerable damage while still operating a range of electronics packages.

T2 Name: Ostrus (Covert Ops Heavy Bombardment platform)
Fitting: 4 High, 7 Medium, 5 Low
Bonuses: Can fit CovOps cloak, CovOps cyno. Can fit one citadel torpedo/cruise launcher (or, when Dust comes out, some sort of planetary bombardment weaponry for destroying Planetary Interaction equipment).
Price Range: 500-650M
Developer: Lai Dai

Rationale: Battlecruisers also lack covert ops capability, and the Ostrus is intended to remedy this situation. Furthermore, the Ostrus will allow fleets of smaller ships effectively to engage capital-class vessels, with the ability to fire citadel-class arms packages. The added equipment needed to fit such demanding equipment naturally reduces the space available for armor and shields, and the Ostrus is consequently quite weak defensively.

-----------
OOC: I love flying my Drake, and I'd always wanted a tier-three Battlecruiser. I also wanted a tougher ewar platform. I suppose one could avoid the overpowered-pwnmobile issue by reducing shields and whatnot.
Also, sorry for the sketch. I have zero rendering skills.
